The kingdom of God is the central focus of Jesus’s teaching and ministry. To understand Jesus - we must understand what Jesus meant by the kingdom of God—and what it means for us today to take kingdom work seriously.
In other words, what does it mean for us to live in ways that embody God’s kingdom today?
In Marks reading we find Jesus’s first sermon - With few words, Jesus sums up the heart of his message and demands a response from all who hear it.
Jesus calls us to changes our hearts and lives – to repent - because the kingdom of God has come near.
