Good morning God’s Kidz families! It’s that time of year! We kicked off God’s Kidz on Wednesday August 19th at the church.

Our children’s program and ministry is growing, and that means I’m going to need your help so that it continues to grow in the right way! I’m building a Children’s Ministries Team and would love for you to be a part of it! I will need the adults that are willing to help, take a Safe Sanctuary’s course and you can do that on your phone, tablet, or laptop all together while God’s Kidz are meeting.

Also, I want your thoughts on if we should keep God’s Kidz on Wednesday nights or move to Sunday after church? I’m missing a lot of kids due to sports (when did everyone start practicing on church nights, that wasn’t a thing when I was growing up). We cannot incorporate music and plan for fundraisers, performances/programs, etc. when multiple kids are missing out every week, so I would like to find a time everyone could be there. So until we decided on a time we will continue to meet on Wednesdays from 6-7pm.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this and look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night. Please contact me with your thoughts and suggestions about this and let me know if you are interested in being on the Children’s Ministries Team for CLUMC!

The United Methodist Men will be having their first meeting after having the month of August off next Thursday September 10th at 6 pm. Their speaker for the evening will be Gordy McClanahan with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

The meal will be provided by Jeannie's Weenies. The menu this month is: Rigatoni, Salad, Garlic bread, Sweet Ice tea and for dessert triple chocolate browines. All men are encourgared to attend. If you plan to attend please let one of the officers know so they can order enough food. The officers are Jerry Meadows-President, John Fleek- V.P. and Jay Ripley as Secretary Treasurer.
