Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Galaians 6: 2

A Wesleyan Way of Living:

Reading Christians are growing Christians. When Christians cease to read, they cease to grow.

Quote of the Day

"If you tell your troubles to God, you put them into the grave; they will never rise again when you have committed them to Him. If you roll your burden anywhere else, it will roll back again like the stone of Sisyphus."

Charles Spurgeon

Good morning Cross Lanes Folks!

It’s that time of year again where the veggies from the garden get harvested and put together to make lots of amazing, yummy food!

One of my favorites is salsa!

I love taking the tomatoes and peppers straight out of the garden into the kitchen and combining them with the other ingredients to make something completely different but so amazing.

The church is a lot like this as well. God invites us all in and we come from different places with different gifts and different struggles. Then God puts us all together and makes something beautiful out of it!

I give thanks to God today for his ability to make us one in his son Jesus! Take time to share your love for Christ with someone else today!

Many Blessings!

Good Morning:

Our WV Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster has moved into St. Mark United Methodist Church, Charleston (second floor).    What remains at the old site in Belle our desks/partitions and a few other items.

We need help to take these apart so that they can be moved much more easily.   The only tools you will need to bring are screwdrivers, an adjustable wrench and pliers.   We will work at 9:00 AM and hopefully finish by 1:00 PM.   (depending on the number of helpers.)   This is not heavy or muddy work, but it is essential to finish at this location.

Anyone 12 and older can participate.  Please pass the word and let me know at drm@wvumc.org if you can come and help.  I hope to see you there.
